Conclusion

For the next little while the original Canon EOS 6D represents one of the best values in full frame cameras on the market today. If you are looking to purchase a full-frame body, the original 6D is an excellent choice, expecially at the current sale prices around $1400. However, if you can afford the new Mark II version, you will be rewarded with a host of upgrades over the original 6D: Better autofocus, higher resolution, a fully articulated touchscreen LCD, NFC, and likely better image quality. Canon’s latest sensors have been improved over their previous generation and I am sure the 6D Mk II will be no exception.
